There was great promise with Jim, and his strategy. I feel dupped, however.
It hasn't gone well at all as you can see from the serious draw-down for both his strategies.
Positives are that he used his own name; prior professional from ML--you don't see many on Collective2 using their own name.
He really should not be on Collective2 as an auto-trading service. He is trying to get subscribers, and this is not going well.
On several occasions, he has missed major market moves/action/events because he is not around, or golfing (he is retired)-do not auto-trade with him for this reason alone!!!
This is a timing strategy he created over many years. He tried 'selling' it to Hedge Funds, but they stated to him his strategy would fail and what he developed was not possible to achieve the returns he promotes, I think they were right, even though I think Jim thinks he can achieve them. He makes 'enhancements' after serious mistakes and failed trades. Ahhh, why so many enhancements, what can he possibly be doing, and 300 parameter and inputs to the formula--of course, he states it is all proprietary.
He honestly thinks he has found the holy grail.
Jim, spends 3 hours nightly crunching all the variables and inputs to come up with the next day's signals.
"My strategies take over 3 hours to calculate (218 Excel spread sheets) each evening"---wow!!!!
How did I get suckered into this nonsense, apparently a very sophisticated and time-consuming process, but he often will not place his own trade the next after all of this work. Again, no not auto-trade as he is very unreliable to even follow his own signals.
Be careful as he will send you continuously spreadsheet with all these brands new 'enhancements'-constantly tweaking; his yearly results are ridiculous and of course, & no-one can achieve what he is promoting. Professionals have told him this, and now he is on Collective2 willing to destroy your hard-earned money with no remorse.
This 'spreadsheet' seems to only serve the purpose as to pull in naive subscriber's (like myself). But we all know, disaster is lurking around the corner and these strategies all too often as we see on Collective2, hurt so many. They all blow up, they call it 'volatility'. In the beginning he didn't seem to have any problem promoting how great his strategy was performing. As predictable, of course, when his strategy suffered serious losses--the messaging and propaganda changed in his nightly updates. He quickly changed his promises and promotional garbage.
I hope he does well and will follow only peripherally.
I am hurt he banned me from posting/making comments in his activity/social feed for no reason-I was never harsh and asked legitimate questions. He is concerned his only subscriber might comment on the problems that have developed.
Lastly, Jim claims he is following both his strategies with $250,000 for each--that may be true. Perhaps, he needs to get his TOS certification, so subscribers know he is really following this 'hedge' fund quality signals as he says he is. Ultimately this is all on me, never follow anyone unless they have TOS and they are trading their own money. Don't follow anyone that has a spreadsheet that shows annual returns that you know, are simply impossible. It is just typically a means to lure you in!!
Bottom line, stay away!!

Fantastic trader. Excellent gains so far. Highly recommend. Disciplined approach with stop losses. Helped me to recover big losses from many other C2 traders to date. Looking forward to gains in 2023 going forward with only the best C2 traders. No more bagholders on C2, who lose it all and more, and have fake results over the long term. Thank you!
Over the last 18+ months, I've lost 15%... Potentially worth holding onto longer term. Switched management shortly after I subscribed, which makes it difficult to continue holding (although the original manager is still in touch with the current manager, according to a conversation several months ago). Unsure whether it will ever return to its best years, but still seems to avoid massive losses ... Just not seeing the gains. Hmmmmmm..... I'm on the fence!
I subscribed to this strategy about a month ago. At that time it was ranked #15 in the C2 system and it is now at #1. First the positives. I doubt that there are many strategies on C2 that have a trade leader with the expertise and experience such as this one. I could be wrong on this but I did my homework on the creator and came away very impressed. The monthly subscription fee is relatively low compared to some others and he keeps the number of trades fairly low as well....at least not an exorbitant amount. The trades he does make are 75% profitable. He uses very little leverage and gets great returns. Over the 6 months this strategy has been active there has never been a month that was not profitable. As for the negative aspects, there have been a couple of periods where I was not comfortable with the drawdowns. Also, It is sometimes hard for me to get fills on some of the trades because I trade with less than the recommended capital and at a reduced scale but also because IBKR is unable to find shares available. Because of these negative issues I would give it a 4.5 rating....still an excellent score.
With 5000 dollar to follow this stategy i am bleeding on commission. Thats why i stopt, but still i think you can make money with a substantial amount to follow The Momentum of Now.
I was just onlucky starting at the wrong moment when things got down
