Reviews of SMA Trading ES500

SMA Trading ES500

This strategy is profitable so far, however the SM works with too high leverage in my opinion, especially when trading XAU (GC). I had 2 profitable moths trading via autotrader and hope this low drowndown will be keeped up. + good entries, mostly right direction + good risk management, because loses were cuted quickly + many tickers, FOREX, commodities and incicies + mostly no over night positions + low drowndown - often trade is in a fat profit but SM does not close it and it ends with a loss or even big loss (i.e. 2 GC on 20 June 25) - often too big size, SM could be much more elastic holding only 1 GC (XAU) contract instead of 2. I did not understand why mostly 2 cons for XAU, it is really risky.

For the moment I wouldn't recommend this strategy. Leverage is very high. Win Ratio is only about 50%. Meaning, that one day you win 5K, next day you lose 5K, then your up again, and down. And maybe the next day it might be even 10K down, you never know. Very risky. Not for the faint of heart. Trades are pretty random, and IMHO there are way too many trades. More than 300 trades in only 2 months. For most investors this strategy is way to agressive. Personally I prefer less trades, but better win ration. A 10K portfolio would better for C2-investors, using only 1 Micro. (Just in cas it blows up like other strategies.) But unfortunately the strategy owner never responds to suggestions. (or questions) :-/
