Reviews of Trading Volatility 1

Trading Volatility 1

Didn't make money the month I subscribed but clearly a thought leader in volatility strategies. Algorithmic execution, thoughtful systematic approach, and appears to constantly be working to better the strategy.

Trading Volatility 1

This strategy made good returns when volatility would stay down for weeks at a time and it could hold short volatility positions for long periods. However even then drawdowns were sometimes quite big, for example the negative 22.3% return in Jan. 2016. Now in the zig zag volatility market of these days, the strategy can barely keep up. The system was deigned initially to be manually traded so it ignores intraday market movements. It just looks at the metrics at the end of the day and uses that to initiate a trade or close a trade. Another reason for the big drawdown is there is no variable position sizing. The strategy is either all in or all out. This is quite risky for something that moves as fast as volatility products can.

So Far, so good. Actual results have been slightly less than historical performance, but believe that the strategy and results thus far are solid.

First trade n lost $10,200 in less than 24 hours. Figure out if you want to take this strategy. I'm out. Of course I choose this strategy because the past 3 consecutive trades were winning trades before I join this program.
