I got in at a really good time -- just after a pullback and just before a big spike in the performance... I'm up 20% in the first month of trading! I don't expect those kind of numbers regularly and I do expect to have to ride out some pretty big draw-downs.
If it were not for the long track record I would not even try this system, since it goes against one of the key rules of trading: let your winners run and cut your losses short. This one takes small profits (maybe around 20 pips) and hangs on to losers for weeks or even months until they at least break-even. During that time, the broker charges interest on the position. Since this interest is not reflected in the C2 performance numbers, these break-even trades are actually losers.
I'm prepared for the possibility that the strategy will fail, as I have seem many high-flying systems do over the years of following C2, but for now I'm very happy with this system and enjoying the ride!
The long term performance of this strategy looks great but the short term is very erratic. Whatever little money you will make will be sucked up by the 225 per month fees and the C2 fees. It is only possible to make money with very high scaling but that would take up your risk quite high. Frankly there are other better performing forex strategies than this. Don't feel compelled to join the pack
Doesn't perform as well as it shows... but overall good. But, it's been a very good 5 1/2 months for the strategy, so I'm not sure how I'll feel when it goes through a larger drawdown.
So far so good. It underperforms a little (my results are a little less profitable than what C2 is showing). It's interesting to observe it as it is a strategy that is very willing to hold onto negative trades for a long time until they come back up to breakeven. But it works so far in its history. I joined at a good moment. I would not want to join right before a drawdown. I joined towards the end of a drawdown and caught the bounce back up. I've only been in it for a few months and wish C2 asked for reviews further out.
So yes he dose win 90% of the time but he can hold on losing trades for 2-3 months, and the problem is that all the brokers take money for that. After 2 month I can say that 1 I got unlucky and lost 2 month of November and December,\.
2) I paid 9000$ for the 2 month to my broker for holding short potions.
When you take that into account the preference are lower
I did / could not dig deep enough to judge the quality of the strategy entries. But - after 3 and a half year of successful trading - it seems that the bumblebee can fly anyway.
If I would start following the strategy with my money, I would
- set my maximum drawdown bigger than that of the strategy, say 40%
- determine a minimum performance lower than the performance of the strategy
- follow the strategy as long as the above criteria are fulfilled and I have no proven better strategy.
I would have given this trader 5 stars if he knew how to manage risk better. Yes, most of his trades are profitable, however, you will need to be able to stomach 30% drawdowns in the account for more than a month at times, even two months. Currently, my account is down 20%, since this trader will just hold negative positions until they turn positive. I would much rather have trades go positive when entered, then entering positions that almost all go negative for days or months. I don't really think he knows what he's doing, which is why I think it's risky to invest here. Also, he's charging way too much, with the amount of risk taking place. I also believe the trader should communicate more to his subscribers at least weekly, informing them why and what he's doing! People are investing hard earned money here, and we deserve to know what's going on and why the account is always negative.
